Gender inequality in Russia — Analysis and Change

Most of us in the United States are familiar with Russia and some aspects of its culture, from hearing about the Cold War in history classes, seeing Russian mail-order brides on reality shows like 90 Day Fiancé, or even remembering Sarah Palin’s remark about seeing Russia from her home in Alaska. But Russia, the largest country on Earth, is a lot more advanced and complex than political jokes about Vladimir and Russian wives. The latter, actually, is connected to a considerable global problem: severe gender inequality for women in Russia.
